Sandra Pinho Pinheiro is an architect and urban planner, graduate from Federal University of Paraná (1982), where she was also a professor of architeture design from 1999-2000. She is a member of the Sustainability Committee of the Brazilian Association of Architecture Offices in Parana (ASBEA-PR) where she promotes and educates members on sustentability.
As a recognized green building leader, she is a member of GBC Brazil and its LEED Adaptation Committee & Materials and co-author and manager of three LEED projects to be certified in southern Brazil- all of them in Curitiba, Paraná (Baggio & Schiavon Architecture).
Sandra coordinates a research group within Centro Vivo (Live Downtown) program with the purpose to improve the revitalization of downtown Curitiba, Brazil. Centro Vivo is a permanent program integrating different institutions: public, private and liberal leaders in voluntary form to contribute with the sustainable growth of the community.
Currently, she is partner of Petinelli TM, where she offers consultancy in green building best practices.
